I would’ve made a cheesy themed post last night if I weren’t out for 12 hours, YES TWELVE hours, I am TIRED. It was worth it though because Tanlines & Lemonade put on a damn good show at The Shank despite some drunk dude in the audience vomiting during set while standing upright. Being totally oblivious moments later as to why he had vom chunks on his boots, the folks that live there cleaned it up at the blink of an eye. That didn’t stop everyone from continuing the dance party. I remember looking at my watch during the last song of Lemonade’s set and seeing 5:55 A.M.
I cannot even bring myself to explain this 10 file mini playlist, nor do I feel the need to. They just involve that L word, may not necessarily be about it. Play them all at once if you must! They may or may not be gone in a few days. The Cass McCombs track “City of Brotherly Love” has had heavy play time the past few days, being a prior obsession. I am fighting really hard to not add Jad Fair & Daniel Johnston’s “Hands of Love” and Robin S’ “Show Me Love,” yes that 90’s dance track. I unabashedly love that song, I want to karaoke the shit out of it, possibly annoying every one. Don’t worry if you are reading this via feed, there are no 90’s dance tracks included.
Gonna spend the rest of my holiday with my mom, cat, ice cream and Something Wild. No 4:30 A.M. closing the bar down impromptu road trips to Coney Island this year! Going out on V-Day will probably invariably piss me off to no end, though I don’t remember last year very much save for the part I just mentioned, which obviously ruled!
